KILLER NASHVILLE 2010 will be held August 20-22, 2010. The Early Bird price of $125 is available until February and is a bargain by any standards. There is also a $99 registration for full-time students, teachers, and senior citizens. I will be working with organizers Clay Stafford and Phillip Lacy of American Blackguard are working to make this the best conference of its kind. It's large enough to attract good panelists but small enough to allow for a spirit of camaraderie. With critiques, breakout sessions, agent and editor pitches, and three tracks of panels, it has something for readers and writers alike. This year, the Silver Falchion Award for the best book written by a current attendee (as voted on by other attendees) was presented to Chester Campbell for his Sid Chance novel The Surest Poison. The Claymore Dagger Award (for the best beginning of an unpublished book) went to Linda Black for The Death of Noble Dancer. Manuscripts from six of the other finalists were requested for consideration by publishing partner Avalon Books. The URL for Killer Nashville is www.killernashville.com.
